What is B.SC. CSIT.?

Bachelor in Science Computer Science Information and Technology (BSC. CSIT) is four year/ 8th semester course affiliated to Tribhuwan University. This course is designed to provide students a knowledge about all sorts of things in Information Technology and computing. More than 50 private and government College offers this course.

In this course you will be provided with real life problem solving project and practical along with conventional lectures.  This course tries to cover both computer and information technology, although there are other course like BCA and BSCIT which mainly focus on computer and IT respectively. This program is expected to develop skills that are required for both IT Specialists as well as Computer Professionals.

As this is a new program from TU, the course content is practical based which is far better than outdated course of other programs offered by TU.This program provides   the students with adequate Practical and Theoritical knowledge which will enable students to effectively participate in solving the complex problem of the IT and Computing Industry.

BCA (Bachelor In Computer Application)

Course mainly focuses on computer applications such as Office Packages, Photoshop etc. along with Computer Programming

Who can Study BSC CSIT?

The students who have passed +2 Science can apply for entrance of BSC. CSIT. Please remember that management student cannot study BSC.CSIT. If you are from science stream then make sure that you scored at least C grade in every subject.

How can I apply for this program?

If you pass the criteria mentioned above you have to pass entrance exam to study B.Sc. CSIT. There are about 57 colleges that offers bsc csit. You can go to those colleges and grab entrance exam form, fill it and submit it. You have to give exam of 100 marks and you must score at least 35 to study BSC. Csit. You can prepare for entrance by using our mobile app “CSIT Entrance Preparation – Mentor and Capsule”.

You can fill form from any college near you, It is not compulsory to study in same college where you fill form. For example you can fill form from College in Kathmandu and give exam there and you can study in Pokhara by showing your entrance results.

How much does it cost to study bsccsit?

The fee structure of bsccsit is not fixed. Different colleges charge different fees. The fee of private college is little bit higher than government colleges. If we talk about CSIT fee in Pokhara in 2076, then fee of PN Campus is about 3 lakhs and 50 thousands whereas the fee of private college is about 5 to 6 lakhs. They also claim to provide scholarship but the actual fee student should pay is in that range.

Do I get Scholarship in CSIT?

Some of the private college offers scholarship of certain percentage like 25% 30% but you will not be provided scholarship in government colleges. You may get if you top the entrance exam. Some of the government colleges provide Tuition fee discount to each semester topper.
